Mattie's Perch - Shiraz

I bought this shiraz for only $4 at my liquor store. I have been surprized by a cheap bottle before, but certainly not this time. This bottle is definitely worth nothing more than $4. This wine tastes cheap. Rather than interesting flavors, I found the alcohol flavor over powering. I also found the body of the wine to be lighter than i would have prefered.

When we paired this Shiraz with some grilled chicken it became a bit more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend drinking this with a meal, rather than on its own. It's probably worth a try, being as it is so inexpensive, but I wouldn't personally recommend showing up at a party with it, especially if you wanted to impress somebody by doing so.
