Vendange - Cabernet Sauvignon

Vee and I have often joked about drinking wine from a juice box like the ones we had in elementary school, and Vendange offers something very close to just that. They call them Tetra Paks. Take a look at them here.

I sample the their cabernet and I enjoyed it a lot. On the nose there were hints of dark berry, cherry and pepper. It also smelled just slightly oaky.

The flavor was nice and spicy. The body was medium to light, yet the tannins were a bit high.

I imagine this would go great on a picnic with a club sandwich or something like that, but I think it can also be enjoyed on its own. At $1.99 for the 500ml carton I believe it was well worth the price.
