Planet of the Grapes 2007 Wine & Cheese Party

Well I was hoping I had more sophisticated photos of what i thought was one of our more classy wine get togethers, but- this was as good as it got.

Our friend was in town, she's actually a chef in New York so we put the meal planning in her hands. She made baked brie (you can see it in one of the pictures) and another dish... I can't remember what its called but it had to do with pears soaked in something delicious and purple ricotta cheese and little toasty crackers. DELICIOUS!

She's in the background fixin up the delicous delights.
As far as cheeses, I know for sure we had several sharp cheddars, dubliners, and then a party pack of cheese from our local grocers.
The beverages included a miscellanous reds and whites, Ste Chappelle, Kikomans Plum wine (which i do believe is meant to be cooked with) a sparkling wine, and some sam adams for our friend who has not yet aquired the taste for wine.
Can you guess the non-wine drinker

This party was the first wine party in our new home, lovingly dubbed rancho relaxo. Yes, in all seriousness, we did reach a point in our party where we realized that when we put grapes in our mouth we looked like apes. And that grapes and apes rhyme, that was not our "low" point. This was also the party that included, an after party of 80's music and tenikling (still not sure on spelling).

Great post, sweetie. We need to have more parties like that. Good times indeed.
